Full Stack Developer

Full-time Remote / Cape Town Mid-Senior Level

About the Role

We're looking for a talented Full Stack Developer to join our engineering team and help build the next generation of mobile payment solutions for Africa. You'll work on both frontend and backend systems that process millions of transactions and serve users across the SADC region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain scalable web applications using modern JavaScript frameworks
  • Build robust APIs and microservices for payment processing and user management
  • Collaborate with product and design teams to implement user-facing features
  • Ensure security best practices in financial technology applications
  • Optimize application performance and scalability
  • Participate in code reviews and maintain high code quality standards
  • Work with mobile teams to integrate web services with mobile applications

Required Skills & Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in full stack development
  • Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, and modern frontend frameworks (React, Vue, or Angular)
  • Experience with databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB) and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
  • Understanding of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture
  • Knowledge of security best practices, especially in financial applications
  • Experience with version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Nice to Have

  • Experience in fintech or payment processing systems
  • Knowledge of blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies
  • Experience with mobile app development (React Native, Flutter)

Product Manager

Full-time Remote / Johannesburg Senior Level

About the Role

We're seeking an experienced Product Manager to lead the development of our mobile wallet and cross-border payment features. You'll work closely with engineering, design, and business teams to define product strategy and deliver solutions that serve the underbanked across Africa.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and execute product roadmap for mobile wallet and payment features
  • Conduct user research and market analysis to identify opportunities
  • Work with engineering teams to prioritize features and manage product development
  • Collaborate with design teams to create intuitive user experiences
  • Analyze product metrics and user feedback to drive continuous improvement
  • Coordinate with compliance and legal teams on regulatory requirements
  • Present product updates and strategy to stakeholders and investors

Required Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years of product management experience, preferably in fintech or mobile applications
  • Strong understanding of payment systems and financial services
  • Experience with agile development methodologies
  • Excellent analytical skills and data-driven decision making
